November GY6 meeting

For those of you who attended our November GY6 meeting, we heard a very emotional and uplifting testimony from Owen Farmer. A year ago, he collapsed at his retirement party at the Fire Station. The test showed he had brain cancer. We began to pray for Owen, and he shared at our meeting that the latest scan showed no signs of cancer in the brain.
Yesterday, I received a text from Owen letting me know that while at work on Friday, he had another seizure. MRI showed an abnormality in the brain. Not sure if the former tumor had started growing again or if it’s a pocket of fluid. He is currently at the Baptist waiting for the results of a CT scan of his chest. Once they look at the results, they will determine a course of action.
When following up with him tonight, he had not yet received the CT scan results. This is an opportunity for us to live out the name of our ministry and let Owen know he is being lifted in prayer by every member of Got Your Six. As you can imagine, this is some devastating news, especially this time of year. Pray for a good chest scan and for the Lord to give him and his family the strength they need to battle this. I know they would really appreciate this.
In HIS service,
